I come to you. Screens, batteries, charging ports and back glass, fixed at your door in Forest City, Vandling, Simpson and Union Dale.

Forest City sits where three counties meet. Your mail says Susquehanna County, your neighbors in Simpson are Lackawanna, and Union Dale is Wayne — and every service that draws a map ends up putting you on the edge of somebody’s territory rather than in the middle of anybody’s.
That is why searching for help up here so often returns places that are clearly not going to come. The county boundary chops the valley in half about a mile south of Main Street, and businesses tend to stop at it.
I do not work in counties. I work in miles from Scranton, and Forest City is about twenty-seven of them — a straight run up the valley on Route 171. That puts you in the same band as Dallas, at the same $45, regardless of which line your house happens to sit on.
| Travel to Forest City & the top of the valley | $45 |
| Screen replacement | from $125 |
| Battery replacement | from $120 |
| Charging port clean & check | from $35 |
| Back glass | from $115 |
| Diagnosis | always free |
The $45 is charged once per visit, never per phone — two phones in the same house and you pay it once. $50 is the most travel will ever be, anywhere I go, and you get one flat total before I leave Scranton.
Your nearest counters are down the valley: Carbondale first, then the Dickson City strip. Carbondale is close enough that if you were already going, dropping the phone off is a reasonable idea and I will tell you so.
What makes it expensive is not the distance — it is the shape of the trip. You go down, hand the phone over, come home without it, and go back again later. Two round trips and a day of being unreachable, for a repair that is a short stretch of actual work.
I come to you, do it in front of you, and you keep the phone the entire time. That is the whole difference, and at $45 you can decide for yourself whether the afternoon is worth it.
Vandling, Union Dale and Pleasant Mount are inside this run at the same $45. Simpson, next to Carbondale, is $35. For Clifford, Herrick Center and the rest of the Rail Trail corridor, how far you are from Scranton sets the band.
Cracked screens are the most common call, and the cheapest moment to fix one is before the crack reaches the touch layer. Batteries are the repair people put off longest and regret least — and up here, where a winter morning can start well below freezing, a tired battery shows itself earlier than it would in town. Charging ports are the one where the answer is often a $35 clean rather than a repair at all. And back glass costs very different amounts depending on the model.
iPhone 8 through 17 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy A and S series, Google Pixel. Price is by model, not a flat rate — check yours in the booking tool and you get the real number before I set off.
The single most common call I get is a phone that has stopped charging, or that only charges if you hold the cable at a particular angle. Most people assume the port has failed. Most of the time it has not.
What has usually happened is that pocket lint has compacted into the bottom of the port, packed a little further every time the cable went in, until the connector can no longer seat properly. The port is fine. It is just full.
That is a $35 clean and about ten minutes, not a port replacement from $115 — and it is worth trying yourself before you call anyone. Power the phone off and clear it gently with a wooden toothpick. If that fixes it, you have saved the whole job and the travel with it.
Your phone, the problem, your town. Two taps and you get a price with the $45 travel already in it.
Home, work, wherever is easiest. Free diagnosis when I arrive, and if it is not worth fixing you hear that before I start.
An iPhone screen or battery is usually fixed in 30 to 60 minutes after I get to you; other phones and repairs can take longer. I test every function with you before I hand it back.

No call center, no rotating technicians, no phone vanishing into a back room. The person who quotes you is the person who does the repair, and the person you text if something isn't right six months later.
Yes. Forest City is about 27 miles from Scranton straight up the valley, which puts it in the 20 to 35 mile band. Travel is $45, charged once per visit, and the diagnosis is free.
Yes. Susquehanna County is one of the six counties I cover, and the county line makes no difference to the fee. Distance from Scranton is the only thing that sets the price.
$45, charged once per visit and never per phone. Two phones at the same address pay the travel once. $50 is the highest travel fee anywhere I go.
Yes. Vandling, Union Dale and Pleasant Mount are the same $45 as Forest City. Simpson, next to Carbondale, is in the $35 band. Clifford and Herrick Center are covered too; how far you are from Scranton sets the band.
That’s a real option and sometimes the right one. It’s about half an hour each way, done twice, plus the wait in between. If you have a free afternoon it may suit you — and I’ll say so rather than talk you out of it.
Usually not. Nine times out of ten it’s compacted pocket lint, which is a $35 clean rather than a port replacement from $115. You’ll hear which one it is before you pay anything.
